Adavale, population 20. The GPS stopped showing roads from here onwards and the mobile phones had stopped working since Charleville. Harry told us that if we did not see the air strip within 9 kms we were in the wrong road… and we could not find it and had to turn back to Adavale and try another route.

Finally the Gooyea Out Station. Harry and Karret (Harry’s brother in law) were waiting for us. The BBQ and lounge chairs were already in place.
