The Orchid Chitaca (Angolan name for small hobby farms) is the oasis our cousin Clara has found to escape the rat race of São Paulo.
It is located some 100 km from São Paulo, at the Condomino Itaembu close to Itatiba and Campinas, cities already of considerable size and with all the facilities of the modern life. Campinas has an international airport, Viracopos which is being expanded to release the congestion of Guarulhos and Cangonhas, the main airports of São Paulo.
The Chitaca is located in a closed condominium of considerable size and with private security, a must in Brazil. The Chitaca is surrounded by similar properties, some used for holidays and weekends and others for permanent residency mainly for retired people.
Rich in fruits such as Jabuticabas, oranges, mandarins, papaws, figs, bananas and avocados and already with a small veggie garden the Chitaca will be self-sufficient by the time Clara decides to end her rat race in São Paulo. Soon it will be equipped with a swimming pool finishing it off nicely.
