We arrived in Hobart on 23rd later at night after a short stop over Melbourne. Our Xmas evening (24th) was a quiet family affair. In Australia it is not custom to celebrate the evening like in Angola. Xmas Day (25th) we celebrate with Jamie's family at Trevor's (Jamie's father) house in Blackmans Bay.
The New Year was also a quiet affair for us. We celebrated with Isabella and Ava as Rita and Jamie had to attend a wedding. We went to Salamanca Square where there was some entertainment set up for the kids until 9:30 PM when a special kids firework display took place.
This is also a custom in Australia; the 9:30 PM fireworks is dedicated to the children that would not stay up until midnight.
