The setting for the reception was an idyllic palm tree lined beach with transparent blue waters, white sand with the tables’ arrangement beautifully done in white.
Rita placed on each chair a pair of thongs (white for the ladies and blue for the men) which proved a success. The thongs set the mood for the night and a delicious meal, was served in a very informal buffet style.
Rita started the evening giving us a safety talk about what to do in case of a tsunami with a demonstration on how to fit the lifejacket.
The speeches were all light hearted but with substance and in particular Jamie’s put a tear in many people’s eyes.
After the formalities people hit the dance floor, or should I say the beach floor and partied until some of the resort guests complained about the noise. We moved then to the Black Marlin bar where the more energetic danced the night away. The older folks retired to their rooms to recover the energies for the activities of the next days.
