After lunch, we said goodbye to Alfy and headed to Mutianyu to see one of the restored parts of the Great Wall.


This part of the wall dates from 1368 and was built on the foundations of the previous one built during Qi dynasty (AD 550-77).


It was a much “civilised” trek to the wall, so much different from the Wild Wall of the previous day as you can see from the photos.
