Bicheno is one of the popular beaches in the east coast of Tasmania. Trevor, Jamie’s father own a beach house in Bicheno and we selected it as the end of our tour of Tasmania.

We planned to do lots of diving there but the weather turned nasty for us for the first time in the trip. For 3 days rained without stop but fortunately the 4th day was a nice sunny day for our trip to Wineglass bay. Daniela’s 6th birthday was spent in Bicheno

Wineglass bay in the Freycinet national park is a must see place in Tasmania. The secluded Wineglass Bay, voted by several travel authorities as one of the world's ten best beaches occupies a large part of the Freycinet Peninsula, named after French navigator Louis de Freycinet. Bordering the national park is the small settlement of Coles Bay, and the largest close town is Swansea. Founded in 1916, Freycinet is Tasmania's oldest park, along with Mount Field National Park.

There is no road to Wineglass bay. To reach the bay you have to climb the saddle of Mount Amos a gruelling 1 hour walk from the car park. Rita and Isabella did not go because of that and Miguel and Daniela surprised everybody by walking all the way to the bay and back without problems.
