Lions Head is a mountain between Table Mountain and Signal Hill. Lions Head peaks at 669 metres above sea level.

The peak forms part of a dramatic backdrop to the city of Cape Town and is part of the Table Mountain National Park.

In the 17th century the peak was known as Leeuwen Kop (Lions Head) by the Dutch, and Signal Hill was known as Leeuwen Staart (Lions Tail), as the shape resembles a crouching lion or a sphinx.

The English in the 17th Century called the peak Sugar Loaf.

We decided to climb the peak and took us most of the morning but we enjoy it imensely. With this activity, I closed with a golden key this year's visit to South Africa. Thanks to Helder, Percy and Ju for making this trip an event that I will remember forever.
