The absence of heavy rain keeps the roads in good conditions. The trees are the mulga tree, an excellent fodder for the cattle.

When the trees grow too high for the cattle to reach the leaves, the farmers knock them down using two tractors dragging a heavy chain between them. The fallen trees sprout and the cycle started again. It takes around 5 years for the trees to grow again.
