Mooloolaba is a coastal suburb of Maroochydore in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. It is located 97 kilometres north of Brisbane.

There’s a handful of patrolled beaches around there ideal for taking a dip. Mooloolaba Main Beach is favoured by families, while Alexandra Headland tempts surfers with its reliable waves. After swim, satisfy hunger along the Mooloolaba Esplanade, making the most of the cosmopolitan cafes, restaurants, and bars that populate the stretch. Afterwards, indulge in some retail therapy at the collection of boutiques nestled between venues.

In the Warf precinct a cluster of seafood markets, including the Mooloolaba Fish Market and the Fish & Chippery where you can purchase fish straight from the trawler. The Mooloolaba prawns are one of the best in Australia.

A visit to the Sea Life Aquarium is a must where one can see the Sunshine Coast’s only colony of Little Blue Penguins, fur seals, rays, jellyfish, tropical fish, seahorses and Australian sea lions. We can walk through the 80 metres Ocean Tunnel and watch the majestic Grey Nurse Sharks swim past.

The Oakley family has a beautiful apartment in Mooloolaba Alexandre Parade and with Rita and family we spent a great few days basking on the beach.

This year we commemorated Bruno’s 50th birthday with a cruise on the Mooloolaba River followed by a dinner at the Dock in Mooloolaba.

The cruise was a very pleasant experiences as we had the boat fully allocated to us. With Angolan Music played all through the cruise we were the attraction of all the other passing cruise boats. The Capitan of the boat complimented us saying that he did not remember having such an happy group on a cruise.
