Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosario built during the XVIII century. In the earlier days it was know as the church of the blacks because it was used mainly by the slaves. After the catedral was demolished in the XIX century the churck was then used by the aristocrats...the poor slaves were kicked out.The church was rebuilt in 1946
