Although to less extent this Quarter continues to be affected by the COVID-19. We can travel now within Queensland without restrictions with the normal attention to be paid to social separation. There is also a restriction concerning the number of people that can be assembled in one place, but this did not affect us. We don’t normally frequent bars and other gatherings.
With the weather warming up we started using our swimming pool. The animals that hibernate such as lizards and frogs started appearing and our backyard continues to be a heaven for the wildlife. We continue feeding our wild doves and lately, two Butcher birds pay several daily visits.
I continue with my knitting and sewing activities and made beanies to all the family and some friends. Unfortunately, Tasmania continues to be closed to us and we have not been able to visit Rita and the family. This year Fathers Day was at Bruno and Erica’s House and the two families, Costa and Teixeira spend a great day commemorating it.
We visited our friends Cameron’s that were camping in Tin Can Bay some 200 km from here. It was a great day as we always enjoy road trips. Di and Trevor were spending time in their house in Mooloolaba and we went to visit them on another day trip by car.
Bike rides with my friends German and Luis and waking in the area have been the way we maintain our fitness.
The biggest trip during this quarter was a visit to our cousins Lyn and Francisco in Mackay. A pleasant 5 days holiday and a long drive (1000 km each way) to reach there. We love visiting the family there as you can see in the respective section of this site.
Every year Sheldon College, Miguel and Daniela's school organize a serious theatrical performance. Normally it takes place in one of the local theatres but because of the health situation, this year it took place at the Assembly Hall of the school.
