The Bogd Khaan Palace consists of seven Summer Prayer temples and the Winter Palace. The displayed items are very interesting and the ones that impressed me the most were:
• Two musical chairs a present from the Russian Tsar Nicholai II and played music when they sat on them.
• A fancy dress for an elephant to wear in special occasions
• A collection of stuffed animals from all over the world made in Hamburg, Germany in 1901.
• The toys of the little Khaan
• The Khaan’s del (or deel) lined with 136 sable furs.
• The Khan’s jacket decorated with 22,000 pearls
• A GER with the outer cover made of 150 leopard skins, present to the Khan on his 25th birthday. Was only erected outside during clear weather.
• The seat given to the Khaan as a present by the Manchu Emperor. The seat is layered with 25 cushions, one for each of his titles.
