2015 was a good year but one that you soon forget about it. Nothing out of the ordinary happened but as we say, “no news is good news”.
The months just rolled out and before we knew, Christmas and the New Year were upon us. The main highlights of the year were:
We celebrated 43 years of marriage, another event that seemed to fly through our lives without us even noticing. Yesterday we were young and walking up the aisle and today we were celebrating 43 years of our lives together.
Our friend Cagi celebrated his 70th anniversary and we had the opportunity to catch up with some of our old friends from Angola that came to share such a milestone for Cagi.
We had our third and fourth trips to Oyu Tolgoi in Mongolia were I was doing a job since the year before.
Our annual visit to my parents in Brazil happened in March, but this now became just a routine
As usual we had several trips to Tasmania to spend time with Rita and family
Erica celebrated he 40th birthday. Another “surprise” to us. Yesterday we were in the middle of the first battle of the Angolan civil war in Lobito trying to sneak into the hospital for Filomena to give birth to Erica and here she is celebrating her 40th birthday.
Following the tradition of alternating the celebrations for Christmas and the New Year, Rita and the family came to Brisbane.
In the next four sections (one for each quarter of the year), we reminisce the events of 2015 over a series of photos. Hope you like.
