From New York we parted ways. Filomena went to Portugal to stay with her Mother and I went to Brazil to stay with my Parents.

As usual when we travel to Portugal, we land in Lisboa and our Compadres (God-Parents of Erica) Manuela and Adelino will pick us up from the airport and we stay with them for a few days.

This time Filomena went straight to Figueira da Foz where her sister and mother live.

One of the trips we always make when in Figueira da Foz is to Aveiro where we can enjoy its traditional sweets made from eggs: Ovos Moles de Aveiro, Trouxas de Ovos.

Our friends from Angola organised a reunion in Aveiro at Nelo`s house and we include a series of photos of the gathering.

Aveiro is also known as "The Portuguese Venice", due to its system of canals and boats similar to the Italian city of Venice.

Filomena finished her holidays in Lisboa / Oeiras with our Compadres Manuela and Adelino.

During the time in Oeiras and until she departed to Australia, Filomena visited Sintra and the surrounding areas and visited our good friends from Macau, Edite and Coimbra that live in the area.
