Towards the end of the strawberry season the fruit is too ripe to handle the packing process and the Farmers have to start preparing the fields for new crops. Unfortunately this means destroying tonnes upon tonnes of good fruit and therefore they do not mind if people come and pick as much as they want.
Karen's parents invited us to join them on a Strawberry Operation at a friend's farm close to Caboolture. These photos try to give an idea of the size of the farm and the good time we had in there.
